Summary
As members of the Baby Boomer generation continue to march toward their "golden years", planned giving is becoming a more important part of every non-profit's development effort. What are the latest trends organizations have used to produce planned giving success? Are there any actions of Congress or the courts, which have changed the landscape? Can a comprehensive planned giving effort produce funds today rather than tomorrow? These topics will be addressed in this session without lapsing into legalese.
Learning Objectives
- Marketing trends that others have used to generate planned gifts.
- Unlocking a new source of gifts with an assist from Congress.
- Planned gifts do not need to equate to deferred gifts; current funds can be generated.
Who should attend?
Senior development professionals who are responsible for either Planned Giving or Major/Leadership Gifts will benefit from this presentation. Heavy attention will be placed on the latest techniques used by major institutions. Also, how current law and recent court rulings impact planned giving initiatives.

Participation in a seminar qualifies for 1.5 CFRE continuing education points.
